Ximena is a lawyer from the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo and holds a Master’s Degree in Human Rights from FLACSO Mexico. Her work has focused on the defense and integral accompaniment of women, indigenous peoples and communities, workers groups and collectives. She has experience in environmental and labor litigation as well as in matters of serious human rights violations, in particular femicide and enforced disappearance. She currently works with the IMDHD and is participating in the project “Family Members of Disappeared Persons as Key Participants in the Institutional Improvement of the Investigation of Enforced Disappearances”.
